Preparing Students for a Globally Competitive Market

Carroll County School System is the only district in the state that has two College and Career Academy (CCA) campuses. Students have access to award-winning programs, including engineering, healthcare science, graphic design, computer science, culinary arts, agriculture, teaching, automotive, video broadcasting, and more. CCA has innovative learning opportunities in settings that provide hands-on training that equip students with the experience they need to be successful in a globally competitive market. With 80 percent of jobs requiring some type of post-secondary education, CCA offers students opportunities to complete pathways in each field, take a national assessment, participate in dual enrollment, and continue their preparation in colleges and universities.

What Our
Students Say

  • The most impactful part of my experience in the College and Career Academy engineering program was the strong emphasis on the pursuit of knowledge. Learning new things and being able to connect what I learned to real world application assisted me in choosing a field of study that I am passionate about. I am very grateful to Carroll County Schools for preparing me to attend Vanderbilt University and for helping me achieve my dream of having a career in Chemical and Bio-molecular Engineering.

    - John Jones
  • Carroll County Schools connects students with opportunities. My Work Based Learning Coordinator prepared me for the interview process and taught me the skills I needed to be successful in my career. I now work in the Training Department for OmniCall, and I love my job.

    - Lexi Norris
  • I enjoyed having the opportunity to participate in the Culinary Arts Pathway. My favorite part of the program was being able to gain hands on experience in a field of study to help me decide what I wanted to do as a career.
