A peek into the NCCA automotive classroom...
A peek into the NCCA automotive classroom, where students are immersed in the captivating world of engine reassembly and wheel/tire assembly installation. With sleeves rolled up and tools in hand, these aspiring automotive enthusiasts dive into the heart of the mechanical marvels that power our vehicles. One specific skill being displayed is the use of service information to guide the assembly process. We use a program called Alldata. This includes information about the order of installation of parts, as well as torque specifications and clearances between moving parts. The current engines we are working with are the Chevy L77 6.0L V8, and Dodge's 5.7 Hemi.
