College and Career Academy Education Students Recognized by the Future Georgia Educators Association
Three CCA students were recognized at the Future Georgia Educators Day at the University of West Georgia on Thursday, January 23. McKenzie Myers and Madison Bookheimer were selected as Ambassadors, and Kaitlin Webb was chosen to present the FGE moment of inspiration highlighting her pursuit of a career in education.
Both College and Career campuses offer an Education program pathway to prepare students for their future. The program allows students opportunities to experience classroom and laboratory components combine hands-on projects with a rigorous curriculum to prepare students for the most challenging programs including articulated credit through partnerships with some University System of Georgia institutions, work-based learning opportunities through the Youth Apprenticeship Program, and other career-related activities. Students enrolled in the Education program have the option to participate in Future Georgia Educators (FGE). FGE is an organization that provides opportunities to build leadership, professionalism, and competitive skills.
