Graphic Design
In the Graphic Design pathway, students will plan, analyze, and create visual solutions to creative and communication design problems. The curriculum highlights the most effective way to communicate via print and digital media using a variety of methods.
Design concepts such as color, type, illustration, photography, drone photography, as well as various other print and layout techniques are explored over several semesters. Students will learn to create layouts and production design for magazines, newspapers, advertisements, online spaces, and many other types of publications. They will also produce promotional displays, packaging, banners, and posters for advertising products and services.

As students advance through the program, they will have the opportunity to apply their skills by helping real world clients, which will gain them valuable work experience. In the past, students have worked with local businesses and schools to create designs for fundraising, promotions, logos, apparel and more.
Students will have the opportunity to expand and enhance their knowledge by joining SkilllsUSA. This fun and interactive professional organization allows students to compete, travel, and gain skills in their field of interest. Our CCA Chapter competes at the local, region, state and national level. Students also have the opportunity to network with other students, meet professionals in their selected career fields, and potentially win college scholarships and industry standard equipment.
