Manufacturing/12 For Life
12 for Life is a work-based learning program supported by Southwire Company. Students benefit from a combination of classroom instruction, on-the-job training, and real work and success skills that employers demand--and that students will need to be successful after graduation. Students are encouraged and prepared to not only graduate from high school but to continue post-secondary education, enter the military, or enter the workforce upon graduation.
While in the program students receive high school credit for the manufacturing pathway and may choose to take core academic classes on-site at the 12 for Life facility or continue classes at their base high school. To be eligible for 12 for Life, a student must be 16 years old, pass a drug screening, and recommended by their counselor or graduation coach.
Students who wish to participate in this opportunity should contact their high school counselor or graduation coach for an application. More information can also be found at https://12forlifecarrollga.schoolinsites.com/.
